Job Description

In this role, you will assist in developing AI models for tasks such as text classification and summarization. You will support data preprocessing workflows and collaborate with senior engineers to solve real-world language problems.

Roles and Responsibilities

As an Apprentice – AI at CGI, your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the development of NLP models for text classification, NER, and summarization.
• Supporting data preprocessing, tokenization, and data annotation workflows.
• Collaborating with senior engineers and linguists on real-world problems.
• Evaluating model performance using metrics like BLEU, ROUGE, and F1-score.
• Documenting experiments, datasets, and model behaviors clearly.
• Staying updated with the latest research in Transformers, LLMs, and Prompt Engineering.
• Working in shifts and extended hours to meet project deliverables.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the CGI Off-Campus Drive 2026, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: B.Tech Graduate (CS/IT preferred).
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Python.
• Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills are mandatory.
• Flexibility: Readiness to work in rotational shifts and extended hours.
• Preferred Knowledge: Familiarity with NLP, Deep Learning, and data processing libraries (Pandas, NumPy).
