Job Description
As an Apprentice, you will support automation workflows, including job scheduling and system monitoring. This role is a blend of development and operations, offering a great platform to learn about production environments, logging, and debugging.
Roles and Responsibilities
As an Apprentice – Python Developer at CGI, your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining automation scripts using Python and PowerShell.
- Supporting basic automation workflows like scheduling and file handling.
- Troubleshooting automation issues by analyzing logs and identifying failures.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to implement enhancements and follow security practices.
- Understanding databases and performing simple data queries using SQL.
- Working with REST APIs and JSON for external service interactions.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for CGI Recruitment 2026, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background: B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or ECE only.
- Academic Score: Minimum 60% throughout academics.
- Primary Skills: Strong knowledge of Python (OOP, Data Structures, File Handling).
- Automation: Familiarity with scripting for task execution and Ansible.
- Database: Understanding of SQL fundamentals.
- Preferred: Exposure to Cloud (Azure), Git, and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts.
