Job Description
Your role and responsibilities
As a Software Engineer at IBM India Systems Development Lab (IBM ISDL), you will get an opportunity to work on all the phases of product development (Design/Development, Test and Support) across core Systems technologies including Operating Systems, Firmware, Systems Software, Storage Software & Cloud Software.
As a Software developer at ISDL:
* You will be focused on development of IBM Systems products interfacing with development & product management teams and end users, cutting across Geos.
* You would analyze product requirements, determine the best course of design, implement/code the solution and test across the entire product development life cycle. One could also work on Validation and Support of IBM Systems products.
* You get to work with a vibrant, culture driven and technically accomplished teams working to create world-class products and deployment environments, delivering an industry leading user experience for our customers

Required technical and professional expertise
- 6-12 Months of Development experience
- Experience in Core Java, Java J2EE, microservices architecture, Python. Preferebly SaaS application with standard CI/CD, and development cycle processes.
- Experience of database technologies such as mongoDB/SQL/NoSQL/Vector Databases.
- Experience in writing / executing Unit Tests and REST API automation.
- Experience and working knowledge of version Control systems like Github and build tools like Maven/Gradle.
- Continuous learning and ability to adapt to change.
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Experience working on Linux
- Experience in product development company
- Experience of Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift Container Platform, Ansible, Jenkins, Tekton.
- Experience in using cloud platforms – AWS and IBM Cloud.
- Experience in using messaging brokers like Kafka etc.
- Experience in Javascript, ReactJS, Typescript, HTML5, CSS.
- Knowledge of network fundamentals, Network security principles will be added advantage.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
