Job Description
Tata-Steel Off Campus Drive 2026 Hiring Freshers For Graduate Engineer Trainee Role | INR 7.4 lacs per Annum :
Minimum Educational Qualification
- Full-time B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering candidates passing out in 2025 or final-year students passing out in 2026.
- Candidates who completed a three-year diploma and directly joined the 2nd year of BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg) are also eligible.
- Must have attended a full-time AICTE/UGC approved campus program.
- Preference will be given to candidates domiciled in Jharkhand, Punjab, Maharashtra, and Odisha.
- General Candidates: Minimum 65% or 6.5 CGPA (aggregate). PWD Candidates: Minimum 60% or 6.0 CGPA (aggregate). Transperson: Minimum 60% or 6.0 CGPA (aggregate).
- ST/SC Community: Minimum 60% or 6.0 CGPA (aggregate).
Age
- General Candidates: Not more than 30 years as on 1st January, 2026.
- Transperson & PwD Candidates: Not more than 32 years as on 1st January, 2026. ST/SC Community: Not more than 32 years as on 1st January, 2026.
Programme Details
- Selected candidates will be placed as Engineer Trainee for a duration of 1 year.
- Trainees will undergo regular evaluations during training. On successful completion, they will be considered for full-time employment as Assistant Manager (IL6) at Tata Steel.
- Training will be terminated for candidates who fail their degree programme or cannot produce the pass certificate with the required marks by 31st August 2026.

- Engineer Trainee will receive an all-inclusive stipend of ₹30,000 per month during the 1-year training period.
- Coverage under the Medi-Claim scheme for self-only, including hospitalisation coverage of ₹2,50,000 per annum and OPD coverage of ₹6,000 per annum.
- Upon successful completion of training, a CTC of INR 7.4 lakhs per annum, along with other perks and benefits as per company policy, will be offered to those appoin Top Assistant Manager.
