Job Description

As a Software Engineer at Karanwal Capital, you won’t just be writing code—you’ll be building the engine that drives our trading strategies. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-performance, low-latency software systems. This is a high-impact role where your contributions will directly influence our trading performance and success. You’ll work closely with quantitative researchers and traders to transform complex financial strategies into robust and scalable code.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Develop: Build and maintain our core trading infrastructure, data pipelines, and research tools.
• Optimize for Performance: Write clean, efficient, and highly optimized code in Python and/or C++ to ensure low-latency execution.
• Collaborate: Work in an agile environment with quantitative analysts and traders to understand requirements and implement sophisticated trading models.
• Data Management: Develop systems for processing and analyzing massive datasets from financial markets.
• Own the Lifecycle: Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle, from ideation and development to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Innovate: Stay updated with the latest technologies and contribute ideas to enhance our systems and processes.

Skills & Qualifications We’re Looking For

Must-Haves:

• Strong Foundation: Excellent grasp of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Programming Prowess: High proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Python, C++, or Go.
• Problem-Solving: A logical and analytical approach to solving complex problems. You love a good challenge!
• Database Knowledge: Familiarity with SQL and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redis).
• OS & Tools: Comfortable working in a Linux/Unix environment and using version control systems like Git.

Good-to-Haves (Brownie Points!):

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with financial markets, trading concepts, or quantitative finance.
• Experience with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) and multiprocessing/multithreading.
