Job Description

Magica Off-campus Drive 2026 .You’ll build the platform where users give Magica work and watch it execute. The agent runs server-side; the frontend is where users describe outcomes, see sub-agents running, review output, course-correct, and approve sensitive actions.

Most of what you ship falls into one of three areas:

• Orchestration UX — sub-agent state, streaming partial output, exposing memory, handling interrupts and approvals.
• Connected services — the surfaces that let users plug Gmail, Drive, Slack, and the rest of their stack into Magica.
• Channels — keeping the web experience consistent with Magica’s presence on WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessa

What’s hard

• You’re designing UI for a system whose behavior is probabilistic and asynchronous. “The agent is working” is a non-trivial UX problem at every layer.
• AI features degrade in subtle ways. Something that works in dev can break silently when model behavior shifts. You build with monitoring and evals in mind from day one.
• The codebase moves fast. Refactors and migrations are regular. You stay oriented without waiting for documentation that doesn’t exist.

We use Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind. You’ll do most of the building through coding agents; writing code by hand is too slow now. What matters is directing them well and catching when they’re wrong.

What we’re looking for.

Strong Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind. A portfolio of real things you’ve shipped. Ability to take an ambiguous spec, scope it, and ship something usable in days, not weeks. Prior work on AI or agent products is a plus.
