Job Description

What you’ll do

You will design, implement, document, and maintain various modules within SAP Database Cloud services.

You will identify areas of improvements to current design and advocates alternative method to enhance current working set Innovate, File Patents and generate IP for SAP.  

You will build Cloud optimization services from conception to operations.

You deliver technical excellence by designing and developing a solution or product.

You contribute to the development of new products and features, based on customers’ requirements and aiming for a wide range of use cases. 

You will own and work with engineering team in different geographic locations to diagnose and resolve design issues and customer reported problems. 

You provide hands-on contribution for creating high-quality Cloud services and you share your expertise and knowledge with your team members.

You help design and develop the Cloud-based features and enhancements for products and solutions.

You will follow the software development cycle from inception and requirement to successful release of product.  

What you bring

You have a B.Tech, M.Tech. degree from top-tier educational institutes with 0-3 years’ experience.

You have some high-level experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker and GIT.

You have some experience in designing, architecting and developing scalable services utilizing micro-service architecture. 

Experience with at least one software programming language.

You have some experience in designing, architecting and developing scalable services utilizing micro-service architecture.

Some high-level experience working with high-availability, distributed systems and services in a hosting environment including hardware, OS, storage, network, and database solutions.

0 to 3 years of experience in Cloud services development

Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Experience in designing, developing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and applications.

Strong knowledge of  programming languages, such as Python, Java, Golang.

Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements. 

The role provides opportunities to work on exciting newer technologies in the field of distributed systems and cloud computing helping SAP’s continuous leadership in the marketplace

• Advanced LINUX and UNIX skills and experience (specifically with multi-threaded architecture, synchronization mechanism etc.) 
• System level design expertise such as OS drivers, file systems, access methods, query processing, query optimization, memory management, multi-threading and concurrency control, networking will be a  strong plus.
