Job Description
Brightly continues to grow, and it needs a tech-savvy intern to support its team of amazing engineers. This opportunity is an excellent fit for a student in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field. The intern will work alongside our top-notch engineers and product team to implement, deliver, and support our highly ambitious products and integrations. You’ll gain hands-on experience in full-stack development, contributing to our JAVA and Vue.js-based applications, interacting with PostgreSQL databases, and learning about deployments on our OpenShift infrastructure. We care deeply about your passion and dedication to the craft of software.
- Learn and contribute to how we build innovative and performant features into our software applications using our core technologies.
- Write clear, maintainable, and well-tested code in JAVA and Vue.js, adhering to established standards.
- Contribute to unit and integration testing to ensure quality across our full-stack solutions.
- Participate in agile ceremonies.
- Learn about the product lifecycle with other engineers, development managers, and product managers, including deployment strategies on OpenShift.
- Be a part of continuous process improvement.
What will you need to succeed?
- Enrolled in 3rd or 4th year in a university program with a major in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field.
- Foundational understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, Algorithms, and Web Programming principles.
- Strong desire to learn and gain experience with our core technologies, including:o JAVA (ideally with Spring Boot, Quarkus, or similar frameworks)o Vue.js (or other modern SPA frameworks with a strong interest in learning Vue)o PostgreSQL or other relational databaseso Familiarity with cloud-native concepts or container orchestration (e.g., OpenShift, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills.
- A drive to improve yourself and the team you work with, and a passion for building high-quality software.
