Job Description
Sharechat Off-campus Drive 2026 is hiring As a Manual QA Intern, you will be responsible for testing web and mobile applications to ensure software quality and reliability. The role involves creating and executing test cases, identifying and reporting bugs, validating AI-generated outputs, and maintaining test documentation. You will collaborate with developers and product teams, participate in testing activities such as smoke, sanity, and UAT testing, and contribute to improving overall QA processes and product performance.
Responsibility
- Design, write, and execute manual test cases for web and mobile applications across functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Test and validate code generated by AI agents — analysing outputs for correctness, edge cases, security issues, and alignment with product requirements.
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Linear); reproduce issues and verify fixes.
- Review AI-generated code outputs against acceptance criteria and flag ambiguous, incorrect, or unsafe behaviour.
- Collaborate with developers to understand feature specs and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios.
- Perform smoke, sanity, and UAT testing on new releases before deployment.
- Maintain and update test documentation, test plans, and QA checklists.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies including planning, standups, and retrospectives.
- Provide clear, reproducible bug reports with steps, screenshots, and severity ratings.
- Contribute to improving QA processes and help build a culture of quality within the team.
Requried:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Familiarity with at least one bug-tracking or project management tool (Jira, Linear, Trello, etc.).
- Ability to read and understand code in at least one language (Python, JavaScript, or similar) — you don’t need to write it, just review it.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
