Skills and Competencies
- Strong grasp of object-oriented design principles and software engineering fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of relational databases and data-driven app development.
- Proficiency in Python (strongly preferred) or other modern languages.
- Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud platforms (a plus).
- Exposure to dbt, Airflow, Jinja, or other modern data engineering tools (advantageous).
- Sharp analytical, quantitative, and debugging skills with persistent problem-solving.
- Eagerness to self-learn new technologies.
- Excellent communication to explain complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong organization, initiative, and growth mindset.
- Proven collaboration with global, cross-functional, virtual teams.
Education
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Preferred: Academic/project experience in software development.
- Plus: Hands-on project participation (academic or professional).
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support software for financial data management and risk analytics.
- Develop analytical, data, and software products for Fixed Income and Commercial Real Estate.
- Apply OO principles for scalable, maintainable systems.
- Manage relational databases for storage, retrieval, and processing.
- Collaborate to enhance products and build new features.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in apps and workflows.
- Adopt new technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve offerings.
- Engage in discussions, code reviews, and agile practices.
